I was cycling downhill on Benellen Avenue in Bournemouth and hit a speed of 25-28 mph when a car overtook me on the wrong side of the road (and must have been doing in excess of 40 mph in a 30 mph zone) and then swerved in front of me to arrive at the T-junction with Branksome Wood Road. He could easily have collided with me in his desperation to get to the junction first.
